Thursday, 15th.—Cold and rainy last night. Steamboat “Alice Vivian” came up this evening from Mobile. One-half regiment crossed over this evening. Marched through Gainsville; went two miles in prairie and camped in very bad place. (Note: picture is of an unidentified Confederate soldier.)
