Yesterday many of our citizens, who were not \u00a0apprised of the circumstance, were surprised at seeing the hearse proceeding so many times \u00a0through our streets to the &#8220;Natchez City of the Silent.&#8221; They were the remains of persons who \u00a0had died during the past summer and autumn in the Parish of Tensas, Louisiana, whose family \u00a0tombs were in Natchez. The reinterment very properly took place in a winter month; the friends \u00a0of the deceased having agreed on the same day.
