The immediate fitting out of the sloop of war <em>Jamestown <\/em>has been ordered, which will require a fortnight. Her destination is supposed to be the Brazilian station.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">A crew of eight men has been transferred to the steamer <em>Water Witch<\/em>, which is ready for sea.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">All the officers at the yard have been ordered to be ready for active service within ten days, and to report to the frigates <em>Minnesota <\/em>on the 1st, and the <em>Mississippi <\/em>on the 13th of May.<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 12, 1861; The New York Herald Naval And Military Movements.
