Lincoln ordered Fr\u00e9mont to come into line with the Confiscation Act passed by Congress. To emphasize his order, Lincoln sent Judge Joseph Holt to St. Louis to push Fr\u00e9mont towards moderating his stance.<\/li>\n<li>President Lincoln orders John C.
