Good skating for the boys this morning in the street. A general impression seems to prevail that that [sic] the troubles of the Country are going to be healed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">some<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">way<\/span>, nobody can tell <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">how<\/span>. But there is a determination manifestly abroad <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">that<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">this<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Government<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">shall<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">be<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">broken<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">up<\/span> and that it will be defended and maintained at all hazzards and all costs. This determination on the part of the Administration and the whole United North seems to be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">felt<\/span> by all. No particular news today. Spent the evening at Home reading first.
