Gen. <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps; font-size: large;\">Harney<\/span> further stated that, by orders from Washington, dated 16th, but only received yesterday, he had been removed from the command of this Department.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">It is understood that Gen. <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps; font-size: large;\">Lyon<\/span> succeeds Gen. <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps; font-size: large;\">Harney<\/span>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New York Times June 1, 1861 St. Louis, Mo., Friday, May 31.
