They are supplied with Minie rifles, camp equipage, and provisions for thirty days.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Two batteries will be sent from here to-morrow.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Gentlemen from the South report that that of all the troops under the command of Gen. <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps; font-size: large;\">Pillow<\/span> only 5,1000 are well armed, and these are principally at Union City and Randolph. Arms, however, are daily arriving for others.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Three 32-pounders, one 8 inch howitzer, and one 13-inch mortar are now being mounted, and will be finished to-morrow.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The news that troops have been sent into Virginia from Ohio, strengthens the belief of an early movement from here.<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New York Times May 30, 1861 Cairo, Wednesday, May 29.
