Tate met me at Mrs. Worsham&#8217;s room, we then went up street, walked until three o&#8217;clock, attended to all affaires entrusted to our care, ready to leave at half past three\u2014all of the Yankee Cavalry moveing , destination not known\u2014could hear no particulars, think they are going after Forrest, who we think is on his way to Kentucky. The Yankees are evidently on a great fright about something. God grant they may be defeated in all their undertakings. We came through\u00a0 white Pickets\u2014I think we will not try them again\u2014the Negroes are ten times more lenient\u2014We came by Wash Taylor&#8217;s, got two hats for soldiers\u2014came through Yankee Camp, if the Lord forgives me I will never do it again. Yankee Soldier drove our horse in Nonconnah for us\u2014 seemed to be a gentleman, for which we were very grateful\u2014found Mr. Harbut awaiting our report. Mr. John &amp; Henry Nelson &amp; Mr. Harbut took Tea with us.
