May 25\u2014Examine two candidates for Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. J. H. Colton, Chaplain 53rd Regiment spends night with me. He had been my classmate three years at his father’s school, Summerville, N. C., and three years at Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n
May 26\u2014Meet Chaplains. Bro. Stradly preaches for me at night.<\/p>\n
May 28\u2014Bro. Howard, of Sampson County, North Carolina, comes to my regiment and preaches for me. The Lord pours out His Spirit. We see twelve penitents and five converts.<\/p>\n
