We have no particulars, further than that our army retreated This is bad for Van Dorn and Price.<\/p>\n<p>My family arrived last night, well, and pleased with the cottage, which they call Robin\u2019s Nest. But we were saddened by the loss of a trunk\u2014the most valuable one\u2014containing some heavy spoons, forks, and other plate, saved from the wreck at Burlington; my wife\u2019s velvet cloak, satin dress (bought in Paris), my daughter\u2019s gold watch, and many other things of value.
