Mr Grimball went to Town to see about the boys. We understood they were to be ordered down to Morris’s Island & he wished to give them, William & Arthur, a little money towards fixing themselves comfortably. He found they were not<\/em> at that time ordered: so he left an order for $50 with W. to be used if they seem to require it.<\/p>\n Papa went down on Monday and we went over to pay a visit to the Aikens, found Mrs A. at home, better I think, and Miss A. talked away pleasantly, as usual.<\/p>\n On Tuesday visited Mr Elliott and his wife and invited them to dine with us the next day. Mrs Wayne[,] Mrs Vanderhorst were also of the party and the dinner was quite a pleasant one. I am very glad the thing is over, for it was to be done.
